Grilled Pizza Sandwich

Note: Why eat ANOTHER ham and cheese sandwich when it is so easy to add variety to your life?

Grilled Pizza Sandwich

Ingredients:
1/3 cup pizza sauce
8 slices slices Italian bread (1/2-inch thick)
pepperoni
4 slices mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions:

Spread about 2 teaspoons pizza sauce on one side of each slice of bread. Top four slices with the pepperoni and cheese. Top with remaining bread; brush the outsides of bread with butter. Grill sandwiches on a hot griddle or in a skillet over medium heat until both sides are golden brown and cheese is melted.

Sounds good. I bought po-boy bread in New Oreans this past weekend. Will try your recipe with it, but will have to add lots more meat. Like ham and turkey in addition to the pepperoni.

Hubby loves to tell everybody that he's a Meatatarian.

When I ask him what he wants for supper he says "BIG chicken or a small cow". Believe me, he can almost wipe out a whole chicken by himself. I have to get my helping first to be sure there's any left.

I've done something similar with sun-dried tomato wraps; really good.

So true, why?
Sounds delish.

We did end up eating a similar version of your sandwich last night. At 9:45 PM. Hubby worked late and by the time I got thru being a stable hand, it was late.

The pizza sauce gave the sammies a great flavor. I did add more meat. Hubby loved them.

Thanks for all your great recipes.
